TRAVEL STUDIES

While traveling, Paiement always carries drawing materials. This group is a sampling of some of the travel pieces done over the years. They are mostly oil pastel, watercolor and ebony pencil with a few in ink. This particular array was picked from studies done in Barbados, Italy, and Dominica. The group of park drawings were done in Merida, Mexico in the Yucatan in 2014. Every morning for a month, Paiement sat in the main plaza and drew with oil pastels. He worked very fast and freely and found the exercise invigorating as well as social.
